Welcome to the 69th Devlog — a milestone by anyone’s estimation!
First up, if you haven’t completed the HOVR Freemint Quest yet, now is the time to do it! Not only is this a fun experience, introducing you to the HOVR story, but completing it also puts you in the special early access round 1 of the mint on Magic Eden. We’ve seen huge success there with the FreeMint whitelist being extremely oversubscribed. There will be stiff competition so make sure you increase your chances of minting a Retro board as much as possible! Go and join the data revolution with Kryptos in the Metropolis to get started.
The team has also been hard at work on rewards V2, which is scheduled for release next week. There will be more information about the major changes this introduces during the week, so stay tuned!

Up, Up, and Away! The ability to fly has been a highly-anticipated feature within our builder and creator community, and we’re excited to announce that it has finally been introduced. With this new addition, the thriving community of creators on Realm will be able to take their creations to new heights, quite literally! The added freedom of flight opens up endless possibilities for creators to explore and experiment with, when building their Realms, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with. Imagine the possibilities of soaring above stunning NFT art or uncovering hidden gems in previously unreachable corners of Creator Realms.
If you haven’t earned your jetpack yet, don’t worry — completing the main questline in Realm will get you soaring through the skies in no time. Or if you’re feeling impatient, head to the marketplace at market.realm.art and purchase your jetpack today. The choice is yours!”
And, if you’re worried about players flying over your carefully curated puzzles, don’t worry — we’ve added a toggle switch in the environment settings to prepare your Realm for aviation.
In the video below you can observe a builder enabling the flying setting for their Realm, and a player jumping in and taking to the air for the first time — pretty thrilling stuff!
Online & Last Visited
Another new Social addition is the online status feature for players. This feature allows you to easily connect with friends by seeing who’s currently online and which Realm they’re in. Even if your friend isn’t online, you can still check out the last Realm they visited.
But that’s not all, this feature also ties in with the new ‘Nudge’ function for referrals. When you get a nudge, you can easily join your friend straight from the notification, or jump to the Realm where they were when they sent it to you. Stay connected and never miss a beat with this awesome new feature!
