On Wednesday 20th July those readers who bought land in the Metropolis will be able to redeem your land coupons for your exact land NFTs. The Realm team has been working hard to make this process as easy as possible. We developed a redemption contract that removes land coupons from circulation and mints a land NFT that matches the tier of the coupon.
This article will explain how to claim your land NFT, the example given will be on BSC and the process is the same if you hold land on ETH.
You will need Polygon Matic tokens and ETH or BNB depending what chain your land coupon is on.
On Wednesday 20th July go to land-claim.realm.art and connect your wallet.
Deposit your Coupon
Connect your wallet using Metamask.
Select what chain your land coupons are on and click done.
The Land coupons you own will be displayed on the page. Here you can see 2 Crescent tier land coupons. Click where the red arrows are to select the land coupons, then click the deposit button.
Sign the transaction in metamask to deposit the land coupons.
Add Polygon Network to Metamask
For the next step you will require Polygon Network on your Metamask and some Matic tokens to pay the mint gas fee. Skip to the next section if you have Polygon Network setup.
To add polygon network to Metamask simply go to https://www.polygon.technology and hover over the dApps button and click the “Add Polygon PoS Network to Metamask.
Mint the Land NFT on Polygon
You should see a screen like this, click the claim button and Metamask will ask you to switch to Polygon Network where the land NFTs are minted. Please ensure you have around 1 Matic token to pay the gas, it’s usually less than this.
Confirm the transaction in Metamask
Then you will see this screen, you can view your land NFTs on Opensea or via Polygon Explorer. Your land Token ID designates the location of your land in the Metropolis. Your land Token ID is displayed in the bottom right hand corner on the success screen and you can see Land Token IDs on Opensea.
Viewing your land NFT on Opensea
Head over to Opensea and your land NFTs will appear, if you can’t see them wait a couple minutes and refresh as Opensea takes a while to update.
To see your Land Token ID, click on a Land NFT and select “Details” then you will see the Token ID.
Finding your Land NFT’s location in the Metropolis
To find out where your Land NFT is located in the metropolis you will need to use the High resolution map that contains the numbering of each of the land parcels. This will be available from Monday 18th July at https://www.realm.art/economy
