New Avatar Integration in Realm: Enter the Metaverse in Style With Ready Player Me
Ready Player Me is a metaverse avatar platform that combines customisable tools with AI, allowing you to create a 3d avatar just from a picture of yourself! Avatars created using Ready Player Me’s tools can be used in 1750+ apps and games across platforms, so you can keep your authentic style no matter which virtual platform you are using.
Realm recently integrated Ready Player Me avatars into our metaverse so Alpha testers can level up their looks. Initially we will use randomly generated avatars, but soon you will be able to build and customise your own avatar to bring into Realm! If you can’t wait to customise your avatar, then you can get a head start by creating your avatar for free on Ready Player Me’s website. The company’s CEO, Timmu Tõke, said “By giving people avatars that travel across virtual worlds, we can make the metaverse more connected”. Realm knows that interconnectivity and decentralisation are core tenets of Web3 and the metaverse, and we wholeheartedly agree with the mission of Ready Player Me. You can also buy NFT clothing and accessories for your avatar, but owning NFTs is not essential to having a Ready Player Me avatar.
The Realm marketplace will host plenty of fashion and accessory options for you to choose from, both from the brands that you know and love and from designers pushing the edge of expression in the metaverse! Of course there are plenty of companies developing metaverses with their own integrated avatars, but when you compare the detail of Ready Player Me avatars to, say, Meta’s Horizon Worlds avatars… well, let’s just say that Meta doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Realm believes that the Ready Player Me avatars bring the perfect balance of fantasy and reality to the metaverse– your character can look similar to you, but they can also dress up to look like a character from Dune or wear clothes from exclusive brands made specifically for the metaverse.
