CEX at last!!!
By now you’ve seen the news– Realm has announced our first CEX listing on Gate! $REALM will be available for trading from this Friday, April 29th at 12:00 UTC as a USDT/REALM pair. As Beta launch is quickly approaching, this CEX listing will help us launch into the next phase of Realm. Buying $REALM will now be much quicker and more convenient, and we will gain access to a new pool of liquidity and market participants. Hold onto your bags– you’re about to find out how early you were to this project.
You can now participate in a $REALM airdrop courtesy of Gate’s Startup Program. This is a great way to reward the platform’s users and to bring new users to Gate. You have 24 hours to participate in the Realm Startup Program (From April 28th at 9:00 AM UTC — April 29th at 9:00 AM UTC). To participate, you must put in $20 USDT, and then you will receive your USDT and $REALM tokens in return. What is a CEX, and what does that mean for $REALM?
A CEX (Central Exchange) listing can be contrasted with a DEX (Decentralized Exchange) listing. CEX is more secure and stable when making trades, and they are generally easier to use. Investors who are hesitant to invest on DEX often invest on CEX, which presents Realm to a whole new audience of investors. We want to bring in as many people to this project we are building, and listing on a CEX will help us do exactly that! CEX is also less vulnerable to front-running bots and other algorithmic trading that siphons value from the network. While they typically charge higher fees than decentralized exchanges, CEXs make up for it with security and ease of use. CEXs are also just more popular than DEXs, accounting for roughly 95% of exchange crypto trading. A CEX listing has always been in the cards for Realm, and it was a natural next step for us to take as we are approaching Beta launch.
Why Gate?
At the time of writing, Gate.io is the second largest crypto exchange by trading volume after Binance. It offers over 1,400 tradable cryptocurrencies on its spot market, and it has over 10 million users worldwide. Gate is the perfect platform for experienced traders who want to invest in smaller altcoins, and we want to reward our dedicated community that fits this description.
